How to get started with OpenClaw!
A beginner-friendly shortcut to OpenClaw, installation, setup, skills, models and more.
TLDR
Last week we got comfortable with Claude or that’s what I tried to achieve. Some feedback in my DMs told me they started thanks to my overview.
For this week we’re going the more nerdy route that gives us a little more flexibility and opportunities.
First things first, here is how you get @OpenClaw running in 15 minutes:
Install Node.js from here nodejs.org (2 min)
Run: npm install -g openclaw (1 min)
Run: openclaw setup (follow the wizard)
Paste your Anthropic API key
Connect Discord/Telegram/Signal
Start with: openclaw gateway start
That’s it. Your AI agent is live. Stop overthinking. Start building.
